INTENSIVES

From Purpose to Passion

The Julianna Poor Memorial Counseling Center of Houston's First Baptist Church is pleased to announce the offering of From Purpose to Passion Counseling Intensives for individuals and couples. These intensives are from a Spiritual Direction perspective and emphasize the individual's or couple's Spiritual Formation. All intensives are led by the professional staff of the counseling center.

Half-Day Individual Intensives

Are you struggling with making sense of life? Are you obsessed with resolving problems that will not go away? In this intensive, we will explore what it would be like to experience God in the midst of your circumstances, instead of focusing on changing your circumstances.

All-Day Couple Intensives

James asks us why we fight. His answer-because we do not get what we want (James 4:1–2). In this intensive we will explore the true source of conflict and seek to identify and eliminate what stands in the way fo intimacy with God and each other.
