Intersect is the internship program of Houston’s First Baptist Church in Houston, Texas. We desire to see college-age students have a genuine encounter with their Creator that will serve as a catalyst for them to go and love the world.
We offer summer (10 weeks) and year-long opportunities.
The dates for the 2012 Summer Program are May 29–Aug 1. Housing and the majority of meals are covered as well as being paid for the summer. Contact us for more information on dates and finances for the year-long program.

Purpose
Intersect is designed for emerging leaders who desire to grow in their spiritual, leadership and theological skills while learning to live missional lives focused on the Kingdom of God and the redemptive message of hope found in Jesus Christ.
Distinctives
- Intersect interns will have the opportunity to serve in a mega, vibrant and healthy community at Houston’s First.
- Intersect interns will be able to engage one of the world’s most diverse cities with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
- Intersect serves as a launching pad where future leaders are given the opportunity to serve with and be trained by top missional leaders, thinkers and catalysts from across the world.
Application Process
- Download, complete and return the Intersect application along with a $35 check payable to Houston’s First Baptist Church.
- Once your complete application has been received, the Intersect team will review it. If deemed necessary, an initial phone interview will take place.
- If accepted to Intersect, you will be notified and sent the necessary forms and preparation materials.
