Adult Enrichment
The Adult Enrichment Ministry desires senior adults to come to, and
grow in, a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Each program
and activity has that priority.
The Adult Enrichment Ministries is for those who are age 60
plus years of age. Ministry opportunities arise for adults, singles,
married adults, and more mature adults who have retired from
the hurry and activity of their vocational life, and are
looking to find their places to serve the Lord.
We encourage “Adults to move forward and nurture
their lives with Christ.” The different stages of adult
life experiences and challenges include marriage, raising children,
changing vocations, adjusting to the loss of a spouse, empty
nest, and more. This ministry nurtures and validates the advancement
of each life with Jesus Christ, recognizing the skills and resources
each person possesses as a gift from and to God. Houston's First needs many
volunteers to help with the various activities and programs.

venues, extracurricular activities including trips, and more – all
aimed at experiencing the joy in the Lord.

Bus Trip - Houston Zoo

Age 50+ can ride the bus! Brown bags ok! Cost is $7.00 admission, the optional movie is $5. We will collect the money on the bus -please have exact change, no checks. Lunch is additional at your own cost, "brown bag" it if you like. Please call to register 713.957.7661.
Safe Driver Course
Mon, Jun 4 @ 8:30a - Garden Rm
Check with your Insurance company to see if they offer a discount for this course. Bring your valid driver’s license and checks only to AARP. Cost $14. With your valid AARP membership card, your cost is $12. Coffee and cookies served. Class is over about 1-1:30p. Register at 713.957.7661
Bus Trip - Downtown Library and Weather Museum
Mon, Jun 25 @ 9a - South Parking
Age 50+ can ride the bus! Brown bags ok! Free tour of the beautiful restored downtown library, lunch at your cost. We will collect the $5 for the weather museum on the bus, exact change please, no checks. Call to register 713.957.7661.
Important new ruling from precinct regarding use of buses
15 passenger minimum for free use of the precinct buses goes into effect soon.
Please help us continue this program by deciding early, registering early and bringing friends and neighbors who you have been encouraging to come to church. 50+ can ride.

Senior Men’s Prayer Group
Every Tue @ 9a – Rm 145
All senior men welcome! This group meets all year, every week.
Strengthen the body and come when you can, even if you can't come every week.
The men send cards to those in need of prayer, so come and be a part of "doubly blessing" those who need the comfort and support of your prayers. You will be blessed as well.

Meets the second and fourth Mondays of the month. "Forty-Two" is the current domino game.
