Once again, Houston's First was honored to sponsor the Aid Sudan 5K with all proceeds benefiting Aid Sudan, an interdenominational non-profit organization working in three locations across the U.S. and targeted in southern Sudan. The mission of Aid Sudan is to aid in growing strong South Sudanese communities committed to serving Jesus Christ by:
- Engaging South Sudanese people in evangelism and discipleship
- Enhancing South Sudanese lives through ministering to human need
- Empowering South Sudanese communities to develop and flourish
- Encouraging South Sudanese Christians to serve as missionaries to their own people
- Embracing South Sudanese and international partners in striving toward a common goal
