• Must be competent in use of AutoCAD and ProEngineer, FEA and Matlab expertise is desired

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to maintain productivity with moderate supervision
• Minimum 5 year experience in product design
• Experience in the geophysical or subsea industry a plus

Design products necessary to meet customer requirements for new or improved products and/or processes; researches and identifies the applications, performance and functional requirements to assure adequacy for the intended product in customer acceptable terms; coordinates the work of drafters and technicians to ensure the quality of the design criteria is met; reviews and approves internal drawings and specifications and ensure the standards are met; analyzes engineering drawings and product specifications; evaluate existing designs of engineering systems to determine the operational effectiveness, and relative cost of such systems; work with the marketing department to review the technical aspects of bid requests and work to resolve technical issues to obtain new contracts.

• 5+ years experience using ASME Section VIII Division I & II, API codes where applicable

• 5+ years experience using CAD/CAM computer system software, preferably SolidWorks & Finite Element Analysis (FEA) using ABAQUS
• Experience using Excel spreadsheet for code calculations
• In-depth knowledge of GD & T and drafting techniques used in machining processes

Fully proficient designer that creates mechanical/electrical designs for new product parts, subassemblies, assemblies or systems configurations using AutoCad, CADWorx 3-D piping or manual systems; compiling bills of materials; assisting in the assembly of prototypes. Generates complex drawings of Amine Plants, Condensate Stabilizer Packages, Refrigeration Packages, Dew Point Plants, EG Modules, Screw Compression Packages, and related components with minimal supervision from design engineer.

• Proficient using AutoCAD 2008
• Requires thorough knowledge of drafting standards, geometric dimensioning, P&ID's, and AutoCAD software
• Experience with design of pressure vessels, skid mounted packages and structural design.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and to prioritize tasks
• Proficient using CadWorx Plant. (3-D Modeling) 
• Proficient using CadWorx P&ID
• Associate’s Degree in ME, Drafting, or related field with three to five years designing and documenting mechanical/electrical/electronic equipment, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
• Trained in CadWorx Plant Pro 2010 preferred
