Do I have to be a member of Houston’s First Baptist to be married here?

No, you may schedule a wedding even if you are not a member here.

How far in advance should I schedule my wedding?

As early as one year for church members and nine months for non-members. For all weddings: at least 90 days in advance of the wedding date.

Can I request a minister from another church?

Yes, but all ministers must be of like faith and approved by our staff.

Is the Houston's First pre-marital counseling required?

Yes. All portions of the Preparation for Marriage Program (PMP) should be completed 30 days before the wedding date.

Why do I need a church wedding coordinator?

The church coordinator will help you understand church policies, review services available to you, and direct both your rehearsal and the day of the wedding.

How much does it cost to have a wedding at Houston's First?

Members do not pay for building usage, but do pay for personnel fees. Non-members pay for both building usage and personnel fees. A fee schedule is located on the church’s website.

Does the church have wedding packages that are all-inclusive?

No, the church does not provide floral, photography or wedding cake services. Wedding costs are quoted according to your specific ceremony plans.

Are there any moral restrictions or requirements to having a wedding at Houston's First?
