Katie enjoys working with individuals and couples who are struggling with relationship dynamics, anxiety, depression, and faith crisis. She believes that our thoughts about ourselves, others, the world, and God greatly impact our mental and emotional health and finds cognitive-behavioral and family systems therapy models to be helpful in fostering healing and growth.
Katie has been involved in assisting couples with marital conflict and with premarital counseling in her role as a pastor’s wife and as a certified PREPARE/ENRICH engaged couples counselor. She relies heavily on her holistic Biblical worldview, publications of CCEF, and her belief that suffering can be the birthplace of beauty and meaning. She believes that God is at work in this world and that the grace and truth of the Gospel have the power to change lives.
Katie works with her clients to determine their goals and makes it her top priority to create an atmosphere of safety and trust. She has been married for 18 years and is the mother of three daughters.
