Rebecca received her Master of Arts in Counseling from Houston Graduate School of Theology. She is recognized by the Texas Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors as a Licensed Professional Counselor. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Development and Family Relations from Baylor University. Additionally, Rebecca is a certified Prepare/Enrich counselor. She completed an internship at Texas Children’s Hospital in child life therapy. She was a preschool teacher for six years. Rebecca was a flight attendant for Delta Airlines for 14 years. The flexibility in her schedule allowed her to pursue her love of volunteering in the community. Rebecca has worked at homeless shelters in Los Angeles, Big Brothers and Sisters, Child Advocates, and Camp Hug for Children affected by HIV/AIDS. She has facilitated both adult women and young children’s bible study classes. Most recently, she has volunteered at the Salvation Army counseling young women. Rebecca counsels from a faith- based biblical perspective utilizing an eclectic approach that includes but is not limited to; family systems, cognitive –behavioral, solution- focused, and person -centered theories. She believes every individual is unique and requires a different approach. Her goal is to work with the client on a mutually agreed upon plan for growth and healing.
