How do I give to a specific mission trip?

Who can go on a mission trip?

All individuals and families are encouraged to inquire about any trip. The Missions staff or team leader will follow up on your inquiry. Most trips are entry level field training opportunities, but some trips do require special skills. All trip participants must complete a background check.

Do I have to be a member of Houston’s First to participate in a mission trip?

No. Anyone is welcome but all applicants are subject to approval.

How do I apply for a trip? What is the process to go on a mission trip with Houston's First?

Complete the Mission Trip Interest Form. You will be contacted by someone from the Missions Office or team leader to follow up on your submitted interest form.

I am interested in a trip but do not have a passport? How can I get one?

No problem! You can find all the forms you need on the U.S. Department of State website. We encourage everyone to own a passport. If the trip departs within 8 weeks of your need to renew or get a passport our Mission Staff can guide you in the exact process to expedite your passport.

Is there a way to raise support for a trip?

Yes! We have Fundraising Manuals available in the Missions Office or online. We also offer Fundraising Envelopes located in the Missions Office.

One of the first steps to serving as a volunteer at Houston's First Baptist Church is to let someone know you’re interested! Complete our "Make a difference at your church!" interest form and the respective team leader will contact you.
