For kids entering kindergarten through 6th grade in the Fall 2017
plus Little Dippers (kids born by December 31, 2012)
Discover the God of the Universe! As Galactic Starveyors, kids will search the skies and God's Word to uncover God's truth etched in His handiwork. They will discover that the God who created everything there is- the knowable and the unknowable, the visible and the invisible- wants a relationship with them! And from the very beginning, God had a plan to restore the relationship He knew we would break. God sent His son, Jesus, to be our Savior and His Holy Spirit to be our Helper. From the very beginning, to the furthest reaches of space (and beyond), nothing is outside God's control or beyond His grasp. God loves us and will never leave us.
"In Him we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation." — Colossians 1: 15–16
On Wed, June 28, during VBS, the entire family is invited to come to The Loop for Family Night in the Worship Center! Our Galactic Starveyors will get to show their families what they've been up to so far that week, and everybody will get a taste for what the rally times are like when all the kids are together in one place.
Each year at VBS at Houston's First, the kids are asked to bring coins to support a designated ministry — to be a part of making a difference around the world. This year, our missions offering will go to Sweet Sleep, an organization that provides comfortable beds, mosquito nets, and Bibles for children in Africa. So, start rounding up your loose change and watch for details at VBS about how your kid can give!
Discover the wonder among wonders — that the God who created everything there is — the visible and invisible longs to rescue you, have a relationship with you and restore your hope. Join Nancy Taylor during VBS as she teaches a 4 day women’s Bible study based on the first chapter of Colossians.
