WORSHIP CENTER REOPENING

After a five-month journey through Exodus in the Christian Life Center, the Fellowship Center and the Chapel, the HFBC family finally arrived in our new home on September 7—the renovated Worship Center! 

As we returned to this cherished space, Pastor Gregg reminded us of the point in Exodus when God told Moses to pack up camp and lead the Israelites into the land He had promised to give to the descendents of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Moses, who had experienced and learned much about God by this point, knew the challenges they would encounter on the journey ahead. With wisdom and a right mind, he said to the Lord, “If Your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here.”

Moses continued, saying, “How will anyone know that You are pleased with me and with Your people unless You go with us? What else will distinguish me and Your people from all the other people on the face of the earth?”  (Exodus 33:15-16)

We want that to be our statement, as well.

As we gather our hearts to worship Him in this new space, we pray that the distinguishing factor that separates us from the world would not be anything about our building.  Rather, may His Presence in this Worship Center and in our hearts be what sets us apart as a relevant biblical community.
