The WORD: Summer Message Series

Jun 26, 2020

All flesh is like grass, and all its glory like a flower of the field. The grass withers and the flower falls but the word of the Lord endures forever. And this is the word that was preached as the gospel to you.

— 1 Peter 1:24-25

That passage from 1 Peter 1:24-25 is the scriptural backdrop for our summer message series at Houston's First — The WORD. While Pastor Gregg Matte is on his annual sabbatical for a time of rest, prayer, and study, we will hear from Houston's First staff members and guest speakers as they look at the power and promise contained in the words of the Bible.

Here is the schedule of who is speaking each week during The WORD series (July 5-26). Houston's First is pulling over to a "Rest Area" on our Roadmap To Reunion and has temporarily suspended in-person services through July 19. Gather with us online on Sundays at 9a, 11a, or 5p. Visit the Sunday Toolkit for how to connect and fully engage with Houston's First on Sundays. In-person services are expected to resume the weekend of July 25 & 26 as conditions allow.
