Edna Lee is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Supervisor. She received her M.A. in Counseling and M.A. in Theology at Columbia International University. She has been practicing since 2003 and has diverse experience working in a hospital, agency, group practice and private practice.
Edna uses a combination of techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and spiritual di-rection. She is also trained to use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) for trauma. Lastly, she uses Neurofeedback to reduce physiological symptoms such as anxiety, depression and chronic pain. Therapeutic modality used is based on the comfort and goals of the client. She believes a safe and nurturing therapeutic relationship can be a strong healing agent in a client’s life.
Edna specializes in working with women’s issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, abuse, grief and loss, perinatal and postpartum depression and anxiety, parenting (bio, foster and adoption), and other adjustments in life. Edna has three boys, two by birth and one by adoption. She is an active member of Houston’s First Baptist Downtown, enjoys spending time with her family, getting coffee with friends, exercising, reading and writing.
