YES! I will Light The Night!

Ever wish you could do more to meet people in your neighborhood? Having trouble connecting with neighbors — or getting to the point where you can talk with them about Jesus or the Gospel?
Light The Night is about being intentional when it comes to meeting neighbors and demonstrating the Gospel in words and actions. It’s easy, it’s fun and it’s a great way to be a Differencemaker in your community!

How does it work?

Essentially, you provide something fun or unique at your house or in your neighborhood on Halloween — something that would draw people in or cause them to stop and visit while their kids are trick-or-treating. What you do and the hours you do it are 100% up to you! The goal is to connect with neighbors and take the first step towards sharing Jesus with them.

By the way — you can Light The Night by yourself or as a family, or you can team up with friends and other families in your area.

Join The Movement

  • Sign up here then begin to pray for your neighbors as well as others who plan to Light The Night.
  • People who sign up by Mon, Oct 16, are guaranteed a special Light The Night T-shirt! If you sign up after that date, T-shirts will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Make Your Plan

Light The Night

  • As you put your plans into action on October 31, ask the Holy Spirit to lead you as you make connections with people.

Take The Next Step

  • October 31 is just the beginning! Pray for neighbors you meet and be intentional about finding ways to connect with them.

Helpful Resources

More resources are coming soon — especially as people share their ideas with us from previous Light The Night efforts.

Evangelism Training

Houston's First is offering an optional training session on Sun, Oct 29, at 12:30p at The Loop Campus if you want to learn about evangelism before you Light The Night on Oct 31. You never know what opportunities the Lord might provide to share about your faith as you reach out to your neighbors. Are you ready? (By the way — lunch is provided!)

You can RSVP for the training when you complete the online form to join the Light The Night movement.

Keeping The Light On

Flooded by Hurricane Harvey, one family still plans to Light The Night.
