Josephine is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. She has a Master of Education in Counseling and a Bachelor of Arts in World Cultures and Literatures, with a minor in Human Development and Family Studies, from the University of Houston. She enjoys working with adults of all ages, groups, and couples and marriages.
She has experience as a mental health therapist in a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), with adults of co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders. She has experience in providing CBT-based mental health coaching for adults with mental and behavioral health difficulties.
Josephine strives to build a genuine and trusted relationship with the client. She primarily goes by the cognitive-behavioral approach to therapy, in which the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are interrelated, and incorporates other therapies based on the client’s needs, with a biblical perspective. She works together with the client to reach greater life outcomes, in healing and restoration, finding meaning and purpose that God has planned for every individual.
