Sharing Jesus Across Town and Across the Street

Msn Houston 1 8 Sienna 2019

The Sienna Campus intentionally engages others in our neighborhoods with the love of Christ. We call it Neighborhood Life and we do it throughout the year, connecting with our community at a smaller, local level. will partner with local organizations to go out and be the “hands and feet” of Christ as we minister. Once a year, we come together to act in unison. We call that Go Houston.

Key Dates

  • July 13–16 — Go Houston

Ministry Sites

  • Houston Welcomes Refugees — God is bringing the nations to H-Town. During this track, you and your family will learn about all the ways “HWR” ministers to refugee families when they arrive in Houston from all over the world. We will also be collecting and packing Welcome Kits to help these families meet physical needs they have as they transition into our communities. This site is a great option for families with elementary age & older children.
  • Renew / Rebuild — Partner with us as we go out to our community to serve the Pregnancy Resource Medical Center of Fort Bend. We will be blessing the PRMC by power washing the exterior of their building as well as building a fence and landscaping. This is a great track for individuals who like to “Get the Job Done!”

GO Houston @ Home

Our win for the GO Houston @ Home is to equip and encourage you to share the love and truth of Jesus right where you live. Rather than going to a ministry site, you will stay and minister to the people God has placed around you.

  • Neighborhood Life — Neighborhood Life will host At-Home Vacation Bible Schools (VBS) all around the Sienna and surrounding areas. Each family is encouraged to invite one or two neighbors to participate with them. We will have Vacation Bible School supply kits that will include everything needed for your very own At-Home VBS with your registration. You are welcome to request as many kits as you would like - feel free to invite a neighbor or two. As a reminder - the week of GO Houston is meant to be the start (or a continuation) of relationships with your neighbors. When the week is over, the ministry continues! Keep in contact with the people you meet during the week, invite others over for dinner or coffee, invite people to church — and continue to pray for your neighborhood!

GO Houston – Fill the Bus

During GO Houston, each campus of Houston's First is collecting school supplies for the school and ministry partners they support. We're going to "Fill The Bus" with supplies as a blessing for the many families and teachers who have been financially impacted by COVID-19. Your donated supplies will allow our church to join in with other ministries and school districts to support those in need!

For your convenience, we’ve created an Amazon List where you can buy the requested items online! You can buy them on Amazon, or you can review the list and buy the items somewhere else. If you buy them on Amazon, you can choose to have them shipped directly to our campus or to your home.

  • Click here for your campus' Amazon List
  • On the Checkout page, you have two shipping address options:
    • Select Houston's First Baptist Church's Gift Registry Address to have the items shipped directly to the church
    • Enter your home address if you want to bring the items on your own as directed by your campus

No registration required for GO Houston – Fill the Bus
