Qualifications: I hold a Master of Arts in Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Tennessee Technological University.
Experience: I have worked as a substitute teacher in various school districts. I spent almost three years in the Army and was deployed for fifteen months to Iraq in 2007. I am a volunteer for Free The Captives, a nonprofit anti-human trafficking ministry, and C.H.A.R.M. prison ministry in Houston. I also help homeschool children using a classical education curriculum.
Nature of Counseling: I counsel from a faith- based biblical perspective and incorporate various approaches that include but are not limited to; family systems, cognitive –behavioral, solution- focused, and person -centered theories. However, as I believe every individual is unique and requires a different approach, my goal is to work with the client on a mutually agreed upon plan for growth and healing.
