Becky is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Intern in the state of Texas. She has a Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin. She is interested in working with people in all walks of life: children, adolescents, individuals, and families.
Becky understands that each individual is unique and thus uses an eclectic approach to counseling, which includes, but is not limited to Person Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Existential Therapy, and Adlerian Therapy, with a biblical perspective. With that, she uses techniques like active listening, empathy, and genuineness as well as open questions, cognitive reframing, and if the individual desires, Scripture and prayer. She considers counseling as a privilege to walk with individuals, meeting them where they are, building trust, and working together to heal and grow.
