Becoming a Grace-Based Parent

Session 1: Wednesdays, Sep 9–Oct 4 @ 6:30–8p
Session 2: Wednesdays, Oct 11–Nov 15 @ 6:30–8p

Teacher: Charlene Young

5-week session: Parenting takes place in a sequential manner, and parenting roles change according to the developmental needs and maturational patterns of children. We have an awesome Creator. In recent times, scientists have discovered the underlying characteristics of human creation that identify parental roles for each developmental stage. God speaks of these same relational characteristics in His word. Understanding the child’s practical needs during each stage helps parents become grace-based so that they can facilitate growth and accomplish what God intended as they launch a child toward adulthood.

Week 2: Providing Structure and Setting Limits
Week 3: Communication, Commands, and Consequences
