We are excited to have your children back in First Friends. However, we want to make sure you do so when you feel you're ready.
Based on current advisement, First Friends will not return quite yet. Please check back later in July or subscribe to our email for updates.
In the meantime, check out what we've been doing to get ready. One BIG CHANGE is that you'll need to register your kids each week they plan to attend.
Simply put, “One Hour Programming” refers to one of the two program times scheduled each Sunday: Life Bible Study and congregational worship. Historically, First Friends (Preschool/Kindergarten), First Kids (Children), and Thru the Roof (Special Needs) ministries have been designed to host our young friends for both the LBS and worship hours on Sundays. However, due to social distancing limitations as we regather, our young friends may only attend either the 9:15a, the 10:45a, or the 6:30p Life Bible Study “hour.” At the end of that hour children will need to be picked up. They may, of course, attend congregational worship during the other hour with their families.
The First Friends Ministry at Houston’s First is so excited about seeing and reconnecting with our precious preschoolers and their families as we re-gather in our Sunday classes. The new safety protocols that are now in place have been designed to help every parent and child feel safe as they return. Please read carefully the material below in its entirety to get a clear picture of what you can expect as you and your preschoolers re-gather for Sunday programming.
Families will register children during the week leading up to the coming Sunday. Registration will close on Thursday at noon to give staff time to assign children to classrooms.
