Plumbing Needs
Houston's First is not providing assistance with plumbing repairs. All plumbing needs should be directed to a licensed plumber.

Houston's First maintains a Disaster Relief Fund so we are able to respond quickly to urgent needs. To make a financial contribution to the fund, you can do so any time by selecting "Disaster Relief Fund" as the Giving Type when giving to Houston's First using our online giving platform here on our website or the Houston's First app.

Organic vs. Organizational

So, how does Houston's First approach disaster relief efforts — especially with such a large church family spread out across a large geographical area? In the wake of any natural disaster, needs are met through both organic and organizational ways.

ORGANIC: Life Bible Studies are the primary way the Houston's First family loves, supports, and encourages one another. Already, we've seen Life Bible Study groups step up to serve their members in the midst of the recent winter storm — providing a home to stay in, dropping off a hot meal, loaning a portable generator, helping with debris removal, and other such acts. It's the church being the church!

ORGANIZATIONAL: For larger needs and to serve people not connected with a Life Bible Study, Houston's First organizes resources to ensure everybody is taken care of. Different ministries collaborate behind the scenes to identify the needs, coordinate volunteers, secure resources, and schedule the work efforts. Completing the Winter Storm Response form gets the process started!
