Homebound Ministry

Homebound Volunteers minister to members of Houston's First who are confined to their home or continual care facility for extended periods of time through periodic visits, cards, phone calls, and literature. Many of our church members no longer have the ability to participate in the ongoing life of Houston’s First Baptist Church and need someone to keep them connected to the church they love. Volunteers are members of the church who are trained to minister to this special part of our congregation.

Trained volunteers love, care, and prayerfully encourage those who are isolated from their church family.

• Pray for and with the Homebound
• Monthly visits
• Weekly phone calls
• Periodic greeting cards
• Mail outs of special literature
