Rosemary received her Masters of Biblical counseling from the Dallas Theological Seminary and is currently a Consultant as she is working towards becoming a licensed counselor. She also achieved a BA Degree in Art and Psychology with a certification to teach from the Austin Peay State University in TN.
Rosemary’s main passion is couples as they prepare for marriage as well as working through the conflicts of daily life and relationship issues, whether couples, individuals, or families. She has experienced many stages of life herself, so Rosemary takes joy in walking with others through the anxiety, depression, grief, and stress encountered in life’s transitions in this changing time and bringing God into the equation. Her counseling approach is eclectic, choosing what the individual needs based on Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, Gestalt, and Family models.
Through her own ministry, Marriage Connections, Rosemary has over 30 years of coaching [counseling] couples not only in preparation for marriage but also marriage enrichment through communication and conflict resolution and certified through “Relate Strong.”. She and her husband of 58 years are a mentor couple for both married and single groups and were instrumental in establishing the Nearly/Newlywed Dept at Houston’s First, writing much of the original curriculum.
Rosemary and Ron have two children, one grandchild and four great-grandsons, who firmly believe their Gran and Granddaddy turn into Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus at Christmas.
