MS, LPC

Sarah holds a Master of Science in Counseling from Clarks Summit University (formerly Baptist Bible College) and a double major in Bible/Theology and Counseling Ministries also from Clarks Summit. She is a Theraplay Foundational Practitioner and is EMDR Trained as well as TBRI Trained. She serves in Ashes to Beauty, a support group for sexual abuse survivors at Houston’s First, and is trained in the domestic violence version of Making Sense of Your Worth, a program designed to promote self-worth and secure attachment in adults.

As a counselor, I enjoy helping clients gain insight into their circumstances and themselves, set and achieve their goals, and make sense of their situation from a Christian perspective. Guided by God’s Word, I seek to meet clients where they are while helping them find wholeness and better understand the relevance of God’s truth as they are open. I firmly believe that change is possible through the power of God’s grace and the working of His Spirit. At the same time, individual clients can decide to what extent they would like to incorporate Christian spirituality and practices into therapy.

Whoever I am serving, I counsel knowing that each person has dignity and worth and a story to tell and that each client is unique and has different needs that will inform the healing process. Ultimately, I hope to assist, equip, and empower clients in reaching their God-given potential while living in a broken world.

In my counseling, I draw from reality therapy, rational emotive behavioral therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy, attachment theory, and Christian/biblical counseling. I have lived in Houston since 2019 and enjoy music, reading, the outdoors, listening to podcasts, and honing my pickleball skills.
