Encouragers help to make Sunday morning the best hour of a kid’s week by sitting with them during the Kids Worship service. Encouragers’ responsibilities include:
- Be a shining example of what is expected of the kids.
- Arrive early, and engage kids before Kids Worship has begun.
- During the service, SIT WITH THE KIDS. DO NOT STAND AROUND THE OUTSIDE! Make it a point to engage them. Challenge them to pay attention, to do the motions, and to be apart of whatever else is going on.
- Be energetic, enthusiastic, engaged, excited, enjoyable, and any other E-word that applies.
- The amount of energy you put into whatever is going on WILL BE EMULATED by the kids. So be an example of what we are teaching them to be.
- Strive for excellence in helping kids to catch and understand what is being presented. Be aware and alert of what’s happening in the room, and be flexible. Also, follow the organization and structure that are already in place.
