CanHope ministers to people touched by cancer or other major illnesses and to those who love and care for them.
The purpose of CanHope is to walk alongside individuals and their families while in treatment and beyond. Participants will be offered prayer, friendship, hope and encouragement from someone who has been on similar journey and understands what you are going through while maintaining confidentiality.
CanHope gathers every second Monday of each month In Person and Online. At each meeting there is fellowship, shared testimonies, a guest speaker and prayer. At the end of each meeting, the deacons of HFBC are available for prayer and anointing of anyone who wishes.
Connect with us on our CanHope Facebook. We post different encouraging messages, verses, testimonies and more. To join the CanHope group, click here.
Our February Monthly meeting will be a night of Prayer, Praise and Testimony.
We are excited to have Deacon Ken Lowrimore, share his testimony of God’s faithfulness in the midst of his most recent 8 month journey with Stage 4 Squamous Cell Carcinoma. Ken and his beautiful bride, Sarah, co-founded CanHope over 20 years ago, to share love, support and the hope we have in Jesus with those walking through Cancer and Chronic Illnesses.
Rev. Sam Parker, one of our Pastoral Care Team Pastors, will share a special devotional. Many of you have been blessed by his care calls and prayers.
We are asking everyone to bring your favorite scripture verses and special quotes that have blessed you as you or your loved one’s over the years and especially as you have journeyed through cancer or chronic illness.

Dear CanHope Friends,
We understand that everyone is in a different place in their health journey. For those who are in a place in their journey where they can attend in person, we will follow the covid guidelines, using the utmost care and precautions.
We will continue to have meetings online as an ongoing part of our CanHope Ministry. It has been a blessing to offer this online to many who would otherwise be unable to meet due to treatments, health concerns, travel distances and scheduling conflicts, etc. We have been blessed to include new friends from other cities and states by being online and we are thankful for this resource.
You will be receiving an invitation for each of our meetings by mail, email and the event posted will be posted on our CanHope Facebook page. For more details of what to expect in person or online please see below. It is also attached in a PDF for quick reference. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me by phone or email.
It is a blessing to journey with each of you.
With Hope,
Sharon Sidwell
