“Rejoice in hope; be patient in affliction; be persistent in prayer. Share with the saints in their needs; pursue hospitality. Rejoice with those who rejoice; weep with those who weep."
— Romans 12:12, 13 & 15
Scripture calls us to come alongside those to bring comfort and compassion. Staff members work to equip volunteers to share in the day to day care and concern for those in crisis through various ministries under our direction.
The Pastoral Care staff, assisted by many trained volunteers, ministers to church members as well as non-members, when experiencing the joys of life in celebrating births and the difficulties of life due to the affects from aging, illness, treatment, confinement to home, a cancer diagnosis, death and widowhood. Involvement in their lives includes visits to hospitals, convalescing facilities, personal home visits and support groups for caregivers and those experiencing grief.
“Praise the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and The God of all comfort. He comforts us in all our afflictions, so that we May be able to comfort those who are in any kind of affliction, through the Comfort we ourselves receive from God.”
— 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
