FAQs

How much does Rush Week cost?

Rush Week is $849 per person. This cost covers all travel, lodging, meals, and fun experiences for Rush Week!

Are there scholarships for Rush Week?

Yes! The cost of Rush Week is already subsidized from the Missional Grant. If you’re needing additional assistance please fill out the Scholarship Request Form.

How else can I pay for Rush Week?

We encourage students to fundraise for all HUB Mission Trips. One way is to send “Support Request Letters” to family and friends. This is a great way to invite others around you to join you on your trip via prayer and funding. (See a sample letter below)
Another way to fund HUB Mission Trips is through the Matching Program. Students who earn money can take those funds and apply them to their total cost of Rush Week. These “Worked/Earned” funds will then be Matched by The HUB. (Matching Program form must be turned in with funds to be matched - see form below)

How do students get to Rush Week?

Students and leaders will fly from Houston to Denver. Once they have arrived in Denver they will drive in rental cars to Colorado Springs.

Where do they stay?

Rush Week will occupy a Baptist Retreat Center in Larkspur, CO. This is a baptist camp that will be “home base” for Rush Week lodging, meals, and worship!

What are the rooms like?

Students will stay in bunk rooms with their small group. One kid, one bunk. Leaders will also be present in each room and cabin.

I have a special diet. What will I eat?

Our Retreat Center is extremely accommodating. They provide gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegetarian options for each meal. If your student has an extra special diet we will connect you to the Retreat Staff to make a meal plan for your student. Students will also be able to bring, or staff will purchase special food. (Please contact your Student Minister for details)

What kind of adventures are there?

Rush Week will utilize the whole Retreat Center facility. We’ll get to use the zip lines, high-rope adventure course, archery tag, hiking, and more! Plus, we’ll be planning a few “off-campus” adventures in the Colorado Springs area; such as, Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, white water rafting, hiking, etc.

Will my student have to be Safeguarded to serve at Rush Week?

Possibly. Depending on what ministry area (Kids Ministry & Outreach) your student requested they may be required to be screened through our HUB Staff and/or Safeguarding Team.

Can my students be with their friends?

Yes. Once students are register we’ll send a separate request form for students to tell us three different people they’d like to be with. We’ll do our best to accommodate at least ONE person but beyond that we may not be able to fully accommodate. The great thing about Rush Week is that it’s a fun way to connect and meet other HUB students too!

Can my family meet up with Rush Week in Colorado?

Yes. If your family would like to pick your student up at the end of Rush Week to experience more of Colorado together you can connect with your Campus Student Minister to arrange pick-up. (Note: Cost of Rush Week will not be reduced)
