First Snapshot

The First Snapshot Survey is now closed

The deadline to complete it was Fri, May 24. Thank you to the thousands of people who completed it and helped us take a "snapshot" of what our church looks like at this moment in time!

__________________________________

A snapshot captures a specific moment in time, providing a visual reminder to go along with our memories. Snapshots also give us a point of reference to see how much things have changed — children grow, hairs gray, fashions evolve.

Houston's First is partnering with Docent Research Group to take a snapshot of our church family. Rather than a camera, we're using a survey to capture this moment in the life of our church focusing on our beliefs, practices, experiences, and more. The intent is to see where we are now, and then take another look after time has passed to see how we've changed.

About The Survey

Here's what you'll want to know about the survey:

  • Each adult (18+) is asked to complete the survey
    • If married, both spouses are asked to complete the survey
  • It takes approximately 10-15 minutes to complete.
  • It is completely anonymous.
  • All questions are multiple-choice format.
    • Depending on your answer to certain questions, you might be presented with an open-ended question asking for your feedback.

How Will Results Be Used?

Docent Research Group will analyze the results to present church leaders with the key findings and takeaways — providing the "snapshot" of our church family. We expect the results to be helpful as we offer programming, ministries, and discipleship opportunities to meet the needs of our members and guests. This could be achieved through Life Bible Studies, Milestones classes, special events, and any of the many ministries that make up Houston's First.
