“A father of the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in His holy habitation. God sets the lonely in families.” Psalm 68:5-6a
Legacy 68:5 was established in 2008 to provide connection, community, and funding to families that were compelled to move toward adoption in compassion for the orphan.
Legacy 68:5 derives its name from Psalm 68:5-6a, believing firmly that it is God who forms and restores all families and that His healing work is accomplished through the commitment of adoptive and foster families as well as global caregivers to orphaned and vulnerable children.
We know that this work is beautiful but difficult and just begins at placement. Our commitment is to come alongside pre- and post-placement families and caregivers to connect, equip, and sustain them, providing hope in the midst of the journey.
