Houston's First has a long legacy of discipling and mentoring people in their faith, and even developing future ministry leaders in the process. The Women's Ministry is a perfect example of that dedication to looking ahead to the next generation.
Now, a woman who credits Houston's First with developing her as a leader for Christ invites the women of her church to a special event celebrating mentorship.
Anita Carman (above, lower right) is the Founder and President of Inspire Women, an organization that reaches thousands every year through citywide events, radio and publications with year round programs to help women "find their spark" in service and training through leadership mentoring, scholarships and grants.
On Fri, Nov 1, Inspire Women is hosting their 2013 Conference in conjunction with Mentor Appreciation Day as officially proclaimed by the City of Houston. The conference will highlight Houston's top 50 female mentors. Among those being recognized include five from Houston's First shown in the photo above:
