Practicum Student | Supervisor: Steven Crain

Kori is a practicum student obtaining a Master of Education in Counseling and Development from Lamar University and is set to graduate in May 2023. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Houston and over 7 years of experience as a middle school English teacher.

Kori is passionate about guiding others in developing insight, accomplishing goals, and experiencing growth in who God has called and created them to be. No matter the life stage or challenge, she believes that God desires for His children to live healthy lives - mentally, emotionally, relationally, and spiritually.

Kori is drawn to working alongside teens, young adults, women, and couples as they navigate life transitions, anxiety, conflict, stress, spiritual issues, and identity. As a counselor, she implements numerous well-studied strategies including cognitive behavioral therapy and person-centered therapy. Kori is also a Saving Your Marriage Before it Starts (SYMBIS) facilitator for those who are pursuing marriage.

Personally, Kori loves spending time with her husband and their two children. She also enjoys connecting with family and friends, reading, and crocheting.
