Kori Odior

MEd, LPC-Associate | Supervisor: Greg Curnutte

Kori has earned a Master of Education in Counseling and Development with a focus on Marriage, Couples, and Family Counseling from Lamar University and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Houston. In addition, Kori has over 7 years of experience as a middle school English teacher and is a Licensed Professional Counseling Associate in the state of Texas.

Kori is passionate about guiding others in developing insight, accomplishing goals, and experiencing growth in who God has called and created them to be. No matter the life stage or challenge, she believes that God desires for His children to live healthy lives - mentally, emotionally, relationally, and spiritually.

Kori is drawn to working alongside teens, young adults, women, and couples as they navigate life transitions, anxiety, depression, conflict, stress, loss, spiritual issues, and identity. She approaches counseling with an eclectic orientation drawing from cognitive behavioral therapy, person-centered therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and biblical counseling, with compassion, respect, and genuineness. Kori is also a Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts (SYMBIS) facilitator.

Apart from counseling, Kori loves spending time with her husband and their two children. She also enjoys connecting with family and friends, reading, and crocheting.
