Tori Hankey

MA, LPC-Associate | Supervisor: Adam Mason

Tori graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary with a Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Italian Studies with a certification in Entrepreneurship from the University of Houston. Her work history includes sixteen years as a Professional Dog Trainer, managing top dog resorts in Houston, as well as owning her own business.

As a Licensed Professional Counseling Associate, Tori has incorporated her experience with dogs into the counseling office through Animal Assisted Therapy. Animal Assisted Therapy provides care that can help relieve the physical and psychological effects of depression and anxiety while bringing comfort and peace of mind. Studies show that the presence of a dog in therapy can also reduce blood pressure and stress.
Tori has experience helping clients with stress, anxiety, relationship issues, family conflicts, trauma, depression, personality issues, forms of psychosis, grief/loss, and sexual abuse. She maintains an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment and is clinically and culturally competent to help all people heal and become better.

Compassion and understanding of the pain and suffering that we sometimes experience is at the core of why Tori entered counseling. Her desire is to help you reach specific goals, develop healthy ways to cope, improve connection relationally with God and others, and to help identify and remove barriers to becoming the best version of you.
