    Bowling Leagues

    As a part of the Fitness & Recreation Center there are 6 functional electronic- scoring bowling lanes.

    The Bowling Lanes are not available on Tue and Thu @ 3:30-8:30p. These are the designated time slots for the lanes to be waxed and for bowling leagues to bowl. Drop- in bowlers can call 713.957.6710 for availability.

    Daycation

    DAYCATION (‘da-‘ka-shen) = a time when students are able to vacation from routine life!

    The anticipation of summer can quickly turn into sighs of "I'm bored!" as kids fall into their annual out-of-school routines. Daycation offers kids -- and parents -- a great alternative to doing the same ol' thing in the months ahead.

    With fun activities for all ages and interests, Daycation is one of the most robust summer day camp programs in the Houston area. No wonder kids come back year after year! And, parents enjoy the convenient location and affordable rates, too.

    Houston Stars Volleyball

    Upward Stars provides unique programs designed to adapt and expand with each athlete as they develop in their personal athletic journey. Browse the Houston Stars website and find the program that best fits you! Each program incorporates intense practice sessions, high-level coaching, character lessons, and a service project. provides a positive sports experience for every child and makes the most of your family's time and money.

    Practices are currently held within our gyms on Tuesday & Thursday evenings, and Sunday afternoons during the Stars’ volleyball season. If you would like to learn how to sign up, please email kayle@houstonstars.org.

    Youth Basketball

    The Fitness & Recreation Ministry of Houston’s First, in partnership with Tallowood Baptist Church, is offering a kingdom-minded basketball league for children in Pre-K through 12th grade. Practices and games have devotionals led by league leadership every week.

    The seven-game season is held January and February to provide a fun Christian character building sports activity during the “dead of Houston winter”. It is concluded early enough to minimize conflicts with baseball season.

    • Boys — Pre-K through 12th Grade
    • Girls — Pre-K through 8th Grade
    • Friends play with friends
    • Fun-filled, character-building, Christian philosophy
    • All games are scheduled on Saturdays (7 total)
    • Practice held before games for Pre-K through 2nd grade leagues
    • Mid-week practice available to 3rd-12th grade leagues
    • Pre-K through 2nd grade leagues focus on fun and core basketball training
    • Youth basketball is competitive but teaches teamwork and sportsmanship
    • 60 minute games for 6th-12th grade leagues

    Everlasting Taekwon-Do

    Everlasting Taekwon-Do is a strong, powerful, and fantastic martial arts experience! Their primary focus is to provide excellent traditional Taekwon-Do training to students (ages 4 & up), adults, and families in a positive, engaging, and – most importantly – Christ centered environment.
