Giving Our Lives

Give to a specific mission trip or an individual going on a trip

Our church strategy is built around three objectives. Gathering our hearts (worship); Growing our souls (growth); and Giving our lives (service). Giving our lives is the missional dimension of our church which includes prayer, volunteering, giving, service, and missions.

We desire to see the gospel advanced throughout the city, our nation and the world.

We are committed to doing three things through our mission endeavors:

  • First, making disciples by planting churches in global cities.
  • Second, carrying the name of Jesus to nearly 3 billion unreached people.
  • Third, doing justice in dark places.

Ministry to Our City

Faith Centers

The Faith Centers are extensions of the ministry of Houston's First Baptist Church. There are three primary locations: Spring Branch, The Grove, and Harwin. Through many diverse programs, the Faith Centers serves thousands of people every month to meet their needs physically and spiritually.

Houston 1:8

Each year, for a few evenings in July, the Houston's First family focuses their hearts and efforts on sharing the love and truth of Jesus with people at locations throughout the greater Houston area. We call it Houston 1:8 and each of our campuses reaches out in different ways.

Houston's First Baptist Church partners with various ministries around the Houston area. Click here to browse other Partnership Opportunities.

Go 2017

The Houston’s First Baptist Church Missions Team desires for believers to understand, own and execute the Great Commission (Matthew 28:16-20). Each component requires training, exposure to ministry, mentorship, and intentional prayer. Our Team is committed to working together to train believers in carrying out the Great Commission through the love of Christ.
