Welcome, Bill Emeott!

Houston's First is very excited to announce that Bill Emeott will start on August 1 as our new Children’s Minister at The Loop Campus! Bill comes to us from LifeWay Kids where he has served as the Lead Ministry Specialist. Prior to joining the LifeWay team in 2003, Bill served as a kids minister for 14 years in the Atlanta area.

Bill is a graduate of Mercer University and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and has 30 years of experience in Children's Ministry. Houston's First has had Bill here on several occasions in recent years to provide training for our staff and volunteers and he is very well-respected by our First Kids Children’s Ministry team.

Meet & Greet with Bill!

Families of 1st-5th graders can welcome Bill to Houston's First at the First Kids Summer Wrap Up on Fri, Aug 9, from 6-8p in the Fellowship Center at The Loop Campus! RSVP below to let us know you're coming!

Here's what a few people are saying about Bill:

"I have never seen Bill in a position he was uncomfortable. He handles himself well, people are drawn to trust him and relate to him."

Tom Crow, Executive Pastor, FBC, Nashville

"I’ve attempted twice to hire Bill as a State Missionary helping or leading our kids’ ministry department, but he refused each time. I would hire him tomorrow if he would come. You and your church would be blessed if God called Bill to Houston First."

Tim Smith, Lead State Missionary, GA Baptist Mission Board

"Bill thrives on his ability to lead others. He’s a master event planner and has led some of the biggest children’s ministry gatherings in the United States."

Jeff Land, Children’s Minister, Sugar Creek Baptist

"I am a fan of Bill Emeott. From my prospective he leads well, and his team loves him."

Karen Kennemur, Children’s Ministry Professor, Southwestern Seminary

"[Humility] is one of my favorite characteristics of Bill. It’s never about him. It’s always about serving others."

Stephanie Chase, Children’s Minister, Champion Forest Baptist
