Ashlea is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate supervised by Greg Curnutte, MAMFC, LPC-S. She earned her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and her Bachelor of Arts in Intercultural Studies from Southwestern Assemblies of God University.
She has clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in a private practice setting. She was also the sole therapist for the adolescent boys unit at a psychiatric hospital. Ashlea currently works at an elementary school where she counsels children ages 5 through 11.
Ashlea’s approach to counseling depends on the clients that she is working with. When working with children under the age of 10, she uses child centered play therapy. For older children, adolescents, and young adults, she uses a combination of both client centered therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy.
