MAFMC, LPC-INTERN | Supervisor: Gregg Schutte

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Intern in the state of Texas. I have earned a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Counseling from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Baylor University. My formal education has prepared me to work with individuals, families, and groups.

I believe counseling is a process in which the client and the counselor come to understand and trust one another, work as a team to explore and define present problem situations, develop future goals for an improved life, and work in a systemic fashion toward realizing those goals.

I have worked with clients on a variety of issues and I have specialized in helping those with depression, anxiety, anger, codependency, sexual addictions, and sexual identity issues. I see such issues as symptoms of something deeper and my goal is to work with you to uncover those root issues. I also help those who have experienced sexual or emotional trauma at all levels. I have completed basic training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy to help in single-event, childhood, continuous, or recent trauma.
