Lizz Calderon

MA, LPC

Lizz is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Texas. She has a Master of Arts in Christian Counseling (MACC) from Houston Baptist University and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Marketing from Schreiner University. She previously worked in Katy ISD in the Special Education Department, at the PPCD level and currently volunteers at her church in their special needs ministry.

She works with children, adolescents, families, and young adults with many personal and relational issues. Her therapeutic approach is filtered through the lens of her Christian faith and Biblical foundation. Lizz approaches counseling from several different approaches and techniques that include Cognitive Behavior therapy, Adlerian therapy and Person-Centered therapy, as well as utilizing Theraplay techniques, to meet each client at their unique individual and specific needs. Goals are mutually agreed upon by both the client and counselor, and together we develop a plan to achieve these goals. Utilizing active listening, empathy and genuineness, Lizz strives to meet clients where they are and actively work on key issues that they face, and clients may choose to incorporate spirituality and prayer into the time together at their desired level.
