SMS Campaign Terms of Service for “HoustonsFirst”

  1. Users of the HoustonsFirst campaign will receive autoreply SMS messages with requested information when they submit a chosen keyword to the short code.
  2. There are four types of use cases:
    • Marketing: Event Promotion — promoting events and opportunities available at the church
      1. One message sent per request
      2. Example: Text VBS to register for Vacation Bible School
    • Marketing: Event Updates — enabling users to subscribe to text distribution lists
      1. Message frequency varies
      2. Example: Text THE5 to subscribe to updates about The5 at The Loop Campus
    • Donations — providing a link to our online giving platform
      1. One message sent per request
      2. Example: Text KAINOS for a link to our online giving platform
    • Sign Up Notifications — providing a link to our online Welcome Card
      1. One message sent per request
      2. Example: Text WELCOME for a link to our online Welcome Card
  3. Message and data rates may apply for any SMS messages sent to you from us and to us from you. If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, it is best to contact your wireless provider.
  4. If you subscribe to a distribution list using a designated keyword, you can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text "STOP" to the short code. After you send the SMS message "STOP" to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. If you want to join again, sign up as you did the first time or contact MemberServices@HoustonsFirst.org and we will start sending SMS messages to you again.
  5. If you are experiencing issues with the SMS messaging program you can reply with the keyword "HELP" for more assistance, or you can get help directly at MemberServices@HoustonsFirst.org.
  6. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered SMS messages.
