It’s tough being a parent! As you navigate your parenting journey, culture, and life throw challenges in your way. Gender identity and sexuality are one of today’s hot-button topics. Focus on the Family author and speaker Glenn Stanton will speak to a biblical understanding of gender, how the culture is currently twisting it, and how you can respond as a family. It’s never too early to start these conversations with your children, even starting in an age-appropriate way in the preschool years.
Sunday, Nov 17 @ 12:30p in the Fellowship Center at The Loop Campus
Glenn T. Stanton is the director of Global Family Formation Studies at Focus on the Family. He debates and lectures extensively on the issues of gender, sexuality, marriage and parenting at universities and churches around the world. Stanton also served the George W. Bush administration for many years as a consultant on increasing involvement in fatherhood in the Head Start program.
Stanton is the author of nine books, including “The Myth of the Dying Church: How Christianity is Actually Thriving in America and the World” and “Loving My (LGBT) Neighbor: Being Friends in Grace and Truth.” He is also the co-writer of the film, “Irreplaceable” and the co-author and creator of “The Family Project,” a 12-session small group DVD curriculum produced by Focus on the Family.
