All proceeds raised through this event will go directly to benefit the people going on the mission trips, to support them as we all contribute to seeing the Gospel reach the ends of the earth.

3.1 miles.
There will be one course: For runner/joggers, and walkers. This race is fully contained within the property of Houston's First Baptist Church. The starting and finishing line will be right outside the FRC.
You will be able to park on-site at the West Lot. We will have people directing traffic. The South Lot will be closed for the run.
The check-in area will be at The Lawn at The Loop. You will see signs with directions as you come in from the entrances. You can come as early as 3p to check in.
You can pick up your running kit with the bib the previous Sunday, Apr 14 @ 4–6:30p at The Loop Campus - Cornerbooks. If you are unable to come on that day, you can pick up you running kit the day of the event from 3p.
If it is raining with no thunder or lightning, The5K is ON as planned outside. If there is lightning or thunder in the area, The5K will be moved INSIDE. We will have one course. We will make a final decision by 2p and communicate via email to all registered participants.
Yes, you can still register on the day of the Fun Run!
If you would like to volunteer and not run the race, we ask you to click on the same registration link, and select "Volunteer" both in the participant and the registration sections. If you would like to volunteer AND run the race, please email Tara VanDover.
We will have different tasks and roles before, during, and after the race. As we get closer to the date, you will be contacted with more details.
You can certainly donate even if you do not participate. If you want to donate a larger amount than the $40 registration fee, you are more than welcome to do so HERE.
WThanks to generous donors, all expenses will be covered. This means that 100% of proceeds will go directly to benefit people going on mission trips in order to support them as all contribute to seeing the Gospel reach the ends of the earth.
Since your registration fee counts as a donation, no refunds will be emitted.
Yes, the race will be timed with a BIB if you register as a runner or jogger.
That is not a problem! Wherever you are on the course at 4:30p, we will call you to come back to The Lawn for the awards ceremony.
There is no age limit for the 5K. However, we encourage anyone under 12 to be accompanied by an adult.
Yes, strollers will be allowed on the course for participants who register as Walkers (no chip timing).
Yes, we will have water stations along the 5K course and on The Lawn.
Sorry, no pets are permitted unless it's a service animal on a leash or harness.
During the race (3-5p), we will offer childcare only for children 0-2 years old. From 5-7:45p we will have standard childcare through First Friends (birth-kindergarten). We will not have childcare for First Kids nor HUB the whole day – our hope is that they will join the race and the worship service on The Lawn as a family event and opportunity to gather!
We will have our regular Worship Service from, 5–6:15p outside on The Lawn!
