Jessica is a Practicum Counselor under the supervision of Adam Mason LPC-S. She graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Political Science. She obtained a Master of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Houston- Downtown. 8+ years in the hospitality and service industry have shaped her understanding of human needs, allowing her to provide care and customer support worldwide. Her personal faith and desire to continue her education created a deep appreciation for the art and science of counseling. She is currently completing her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Houston Christian University in preparation for becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
Jessica’s focus in counseling is working with individual children, teens, and adults. She aims to provide each client with a comprehensive and tailored approach, including but not limited to cognitive behavioral and person-centered therapy. Her counseling services cover a broad spectrum of concerns, including anxiety, stress, depression, relationships, emerging adulthood, career development, women’s issues, body image, unexpected life events, trauma, and grief. She has a special place in her heart for those coping with caregiving, terminal illness, and cancer. Her background in criminal justice has prepared her to counsel individuals affected by crime, violence, and loss. Jessica believes God has placed every person precisely where they need to be. Prayer and guidance from the Holy Spirit are integral to her counseling approach. She recognizes the courage it takes to ask for help, and ultimately, she seeks to provide her clients with a safe and supportive environment.
Jessica loves spending time with her fiancé, family, and friends, cherishing the relationships that bring joy and balance to her life. Her favorite activities include watching movies, going out to eat, and listening to music. She loves traveling and learning about the history and culture of places around the world, a passion that fuels her curiosity and broadens her perspective. In these trips, she sees the beauty of God’s creation and the wonder of life, a reminder of the diverse and fascinating world we live in.
