Pamela graduated from Houston Baptist University with a Master of Arts in Counseling. She earned her a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Communication from Sam Houston University and a secondary English teaching certification from the University of Texas in San Antonio. My work history includes service a public-school teacher, and charter-and private-school administrator over a 14-year time period, during which she worked directly with both individual and groups of children, adolescents, as well as families.
Love and compassion for people are at the core of why Pamela was drawn to the field of counseling. She understands that people seeking counseling want to know how they can change things and make life better. Pamela is committed to helping others develop the necessary skills to cope with the challenges of their lives and grow toward wholeness in their relationship with God, others and self. She works to develop a partnership built on trust and respect and create a plan that is uniquely designed to meet each person’s specific needs.
Pamela believes in utilizing a variety of theoretical approaches, such as cognitive-behavior, person-centered, family systems, and Adlerian therapy while incorporating Biblical truths. She enjoys working with adolescents, young adults, couples and families in a variety of areas including anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and relationship conflict. Pamela believes that people are able to make meaning of life challenges, build vibrant lives, and live the life that God destined them to live.
