As a Practicum Counselor, under the supervision of Steve Crain, LPC-S, with a personal journey of her own, Sika Apaloo understands the complexities of relationships and the challenges that can arise. Her experience as a divorced individual with two beautiful kids, shaped Sika empathetic approach, allowing her to connect with clients on a deeper level.
Sika specializes in helping individuals, couples, and families navigate the turbulent waters of relationship difficulties, whether they are dealing with communication issues, trust concerns, or life transitions. Sika’s goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where you can explore your feelings, improve your connections, and foster understanding within your family dynamics.
Drawing from evidence-based practices, including the Gottman Method and SYMBIS (Save Your Marriage Before It Starts), Sika provides tools to strengthen relationships, enhance communication, and resolve conflicts. Sika is Gottman level 1 certified and a certified SIMBIS facilitator. Together, Sika will collaborate with you on setting realistic goals and developing strategies tailored to your unique situation.
In addition to couples therapy, Sika offers individual sessions for those grappling with life transitions, depression, anxiety, grief/loss, stress management, and relationship issues.
Sika’s approach is compassionate and holistic, recognizing that healing and growth are possible at any stage of life. Sika counsels from a biblical foundation, borrow from many theories, but primarily practices Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Existential Therapy.
In her spare time, Sika enjoys spending time with both of her lovely kids and family members. Her curiosity in wanting to connect deeply with various cultures, takes her traveling around the world.
