Suzanne is currently pursuing her Master of Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Houston Christian University. With a background in law and the wisdom gained from raising three children, she recognizes the societal need for improved mental well-being. She counsels individuals facing challenges with anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, and parenting. Her compassionate and empathetic approach to counseling creates the setting for transformative support.
In response to the demands of the contemporary world, Suzanne employs effective strategies to help clients identify the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors impacting their mental health. Through collaborative efforts, she focuses on regulating emotions, reframing negative thoughts, nurturing interpersonal relationships, and fostering positive perspectives.
Suzanne considers it a privilege to incorporate faith into the healing journey and is willing to integrate Christianity into sessions if requested. She respects diverse backgrounds and does not impose her beliefs on others, actively engaging with clients from all walks of life.
With experience working across age groups—children, adolescents, and adults—Suzanne adopts a clinical approach rooted in cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, mindfulness, and psychoeducation. This methodology reflects her commitment to providing holistic and effective counseling services. She is also certified in SYMBIS.
