Houston's First is offering specialized training to equip participants with the skills to listen well, provide meaningful care, and support global workers through debriefing.
Personal debriefing is a dedicated time for global workers to share their stories in a safe space, process experiences, and gain perspective on life, family, and work.
Many believe they must handle challenges alone or move on quickly, but unprocessed experiences can lead to burnout and an early exit from the field. Regular debriefing fosters healing, promotes growth, and sustains long-term ministry by offering space for reflection, renewal, and meaningful conversation.
Trainer:
The training will be led by Mark Avers of Barnabas International.
Mark has been caring for global workers in all parts of the world for over 25 years. Mark serves as an adjunct Coach and Facilitator at Mission Training International (MTI) Debriefing and Renewal (DAR) retreats in Colorado Springs. Mark brings his wealth of knowledge, experience, and his unique and wonderful heart for people to what will certainly be an impactful course.
