At Houston’s First, Sundays are full of movement—people arriving for worship, growing in Life Bible Study, connecting with others, and serving joyfully. With so much happening across the Loop campus, it helps to have a Sunday Flight Plan—a way to navigate the rhythms of the day with purpose and hospitality.
We call these rhythms Loop Lanes—natural routes through the morning and afternoon that reflect how people move onto and off campus. Some lanes are wide open. Others are more active. And one lane is our busiest—that time when most first-time guests launch their journey with us. Can you guess which lane that is?
Loop Lane 1: 8:00a LBS → 9:15a Worship → 10:30a Departure
Ideal for early risers and those who enjoy a quieter experience. Parking is easy and campus is peaceful.
Personas: Alice and Bob (70s, retired grandparents) “We choose Loop Lane 1 because we’re up with the sun, love a good Bible study, and like to beat the brunch crowd before the grandkids come over for the afternoon.”
Loop Lane 2: 9:15a Worship → 10:45a LBS → 11:45a Departure
This is a popular lane with a balanced pace—especially great for those who prefer to worship first, then dive into Life Bible Study.
Persona: Claudia (20s, single, no kids): “I choose Loop Lane 2 because it lets me ease into the morning, worship with coffee in hand, and make it to lunch with friends—no early alarms required.”
Loop Lane 3: 9:30a LBS → 11:00a Worship → 12:15p Departure Attending church at 11a is “the norm”, which is why many first-time guests also choose this hour.
Persona: Lizzie & Evan & Teens (40s, parents of teens): “We choose Loop Lane 3 because it lines up with our teens’ schedules to worship, too—and we actually like the crowd and the energy of a packed Sunday morning.”
Loop Lane 4: 4:00p Worship → 5:15p LBS → 6:15p Departure Perfect for families with children involved in extracurricular activities, travelers, or anyone looking for a slower pace and more room.
Personas: Jasmine & Marco & Small Kids (30’s, married parents of littles): “We choose Loop Lane 4 because slow mornings save our sanity, the kids are calmer after lunch, and worship feels a lot more joyful when no one's crying.”
When you choose your route with intention—adjusting your arrival, choosing a different worship hour, or parking off-site—you’re not just making room. You’re making space for someone else to encounter Jesus.
So, take another look at the Loop Lanes above, and consider: Where can you launch? Where can you land? How can you help Make Space for More?
Life Bible Studies are a core part of our discipleship mission—a launch pad for spiritual growth, deep relationships, and grounding in God’s Word. To support continued growth, the hours of 8:00a and 10:45a now feature more classes for each age and stage, strategically opening up more space so that even more people can be part of this essential step in their spiritual journey.
Whether you're new to Houston’s First or have been here for years and have yet to engage with an LBS, there’s a seat waiting or you! Take a look at these classes, and make a plan to visit one this Sunday!

To create a more intentional experience for students, The Hub programming will take a new trajectory beginning August 17. So that Houston’s First is better equipped to disciple our NextGen students, we’re elevating age-specific discipleship and collective worship opportunities that we believe will yield stronger peer connections, increased capacity to welcome others, and deepened spiritual growth.
As part of this realignment, students will gather with their church family for worship. There’s even a dedicated seating section in the Worship Center reserved just for them.
What you can expect on Sundays beginning this fall:
Middle School @ 9:15a Worship / 10:45a Hub Discipleship
Parents of Middle School aged children will check in their middle schooler at the Worship Center doors near the Connection Center with a staff member or PATHMAKER. The students will participate in Sunday morning worship as a group, sitting alongside their NextGen leaders. Or, if their families also attend the 9:15a Worship Service, they’re welcome to sit together as a family.
High School @ 9:15a Hub Discipleship / 11a Worship Parents of High School students will drop off their student at The Hub, where check-in takes place and discipleship begins. Afterward, students will head to the Worship Center as a group, walking with their student leaders to sit together for the 11a Worship Service. Or, if their families also attend the 11a Worship Service, they’re welcome to sit together as a family.
It will be a blessing for our Houston’s First family to be witness as these young people grow and mature in the Lord. Student Ministry leaders, many of whom haven’t had the opportunity to worship on Sunday mornings in years, will now be able to lead from within the room—modeling a life of worship side-by-side with the next generation.
One of the easiest ways to Make Space for More is to launch your Sunday from The Marq*E Garage—just across I-10 from the Loop Campus. Shuttles run regularly, they pick you up just steps away from where you park in the covered garage, and they drop you off at the Garden Room entrance. Door-to-door service - and it’s climate controlled, too!
Every vehicle that docks at the Marq*E frees up valuable on-site parking for guests, seniors, families with small children, and those with physical needs. Whether you’re serving, attending LBS, or worshiping with us, choosing off-site parking on a Sunday morning is a small act with eternal impact.

Held at 4p and followed by Life Bible Study at 5:15p, The4 is an ideal flight plan for busy families, late sleepers, and anyone looking for a little more room in their Sunday schedule.
In a culture that’s always in motion, The4 offers a countercultural rhythm: worship in the stillness of Sunday afternoon. Whether your morning was filled with children’s sports, travel, work, or rest, The4 provides a space to gather with your church family, refocus your heart on Jesus, and be reminded of what matters most in a setting that leaves a bit more elbow room.
If you’ve fallen out of the habit or are looking for a fresh way to connect with the Father and like-minded believers, try The4. God’s presence is always worth showing up for.
