Daycation is open to campers entering 1st–9th grades in Fall 2020

Daycation is a summer day camp ministry of Houston’s First Baptist Church serving families in Houston, and surrounding areas, for over 30 years. Our goal is to share the love of Jesus Christ to all who enter our doors, by providing a fun, safe and nurturing environment for your family. Although the name has gone through many variations throughout the years, the commitment to provide the best place for your child to be in the summer has never changed.

2020 Summer Calendar

COVID-19

Updated March 30. 2020

As you know, these are unprecedented times as we continue to monitor the news unfolding information regarding the coronavirus impacting our communities. We want to assure our camper families that camper and staff safety remains our top priority. We are closely monitoring the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines, Texas Department of Health Services, and other clinical decision support resources, to stay current on the latest information on how to navigate through COVID-19.

Our team has not stopped praying and preparing to share the love of Jesus Christ, by teaching the Gospel in a fun, creative and encouraging Camp experience for all 12 weeks of camp.

Daycation is currently doing a thorough review of our processes and procedures to ensure the safety of campers and staff, and preventing the disease from entering the camp itself. We will be implementing increased sanitization procedures to ensure the disinfecting of high-use and high-touch areas.

Cancelation Information

Cancelling when no mandates affect camp attendance:

If you choose to cancel before two weeks prior to the week reserved you will receive a refund of your tuition. Refunds will not apply to your deposit and admissions fee.

If mandates affect camp attendance:

If we are not able to open camp for a week or more due to federal, state, or local government mandates, then you can:

  • Apply your full refund (including tuition, deposits and admissions fee) as a credit toward 2021 Daycation
  • Donate your refund to the Daycation scholarship fund
  • Receive a refund of your tuition and deposits to your original form of payment

In times like these where media reports can cause anxiety and fear to fill our minds and hearts, we can stand confident knowing that nothing takes God by surprise. Visit Houston First Baptist’s Coronavirus Updates page to “stay in the loop” on how you can still be plugged in to the community.

Cost

  • One-time admission fee of $50
  • $175 per week
  • Sibling discounts will be applied automatically at registration
  • With two weeks advance notice, the camps can refund the weekly tuition ($140), but the weekly deposits ($25) are non-refundable
