Hospital Visitation Ministry

Pastoral Care provides a ministry to individuals and families affected by illness, hospitalization, terminal diagnosis, disease, and bereavement, as well as their long-term effects.

Volunteers visit all area hospitals, health care and hospice facilities and the homebound within a 75-mile radius of Houston's First.

Hospital visitors are church members and volunteers who are equipped with special training and who have been qualified through a background check.

Members who are hospitalized are listed on our daily Pastoral Care Update, which is sent to all of the HFBC staff and Stephen Ministers.

Each volunteer visitor records the place, person, and time they visited. This will ensure all who need and are able to receive visitors, are visited.
